On the second day Mira drove me home, via a few sights

The Rursee in the Eifel near Monschau

The boys are trying to pull a log out of the forest, to build a cubby

Alexander not quite sure whether to pose for the camera

Warming up to it

Positively into it!!

Ready to shoot em

Finishing off the day with Red Noodles at Omis Place

A walk in the Venn in Belgium

The next morning we drove half an hour to go on this walk - we found ourselves in Belgium to discover the moors. It is a terrible photo of me but there are not many photos of Mira and I so it'll do.

the Woolgrass was in flower - I sneezed the whole way with hayfever, but it was still a lovely walk

At Mira and Juergen's Place in Strauch, in the Eifel

Mira and I pick up Jan from Kinder

Then Alexander comes home from school - he just got his excellent first year grades - woohoo!! for him school holidays begin next week.

Mira and Juergen's place is a modern new bit added to a historic, extensive building and a separate shed for Juergen's work. It is all very tastefully decorated, I love it. Outside it is kid's paradise, with a lush green garden and lots of play equipment.

The boys unpack the pressies

Then outside for a play before lunch

A nice place for coffee in the garden

Yay - we finished the Sydney Harbour Bridge!!!!!

Yay - we finished the Sydney Opera House

Then Alexander vacuumed up the bits and pieces

Whilst Jan took a break in the hammock

And Juergen put a bratwurst or two on the barbecue

A mass in our old church in Kirspenich

I had a mass read for the deceased of the families Burczik and Weiland and Omi, Anja, Norbert and I attended. It was at 10 am and afterwards we had lunch at the Steinbachtalsperre Gasthof followed by a walk around the lake. Nice.

Omi ran into the Roggendorfs, childhood friends of hers and also, their son Hansi went to school with me.

At Claudia's we visit Altenberg, Dome and gardens

After every walk, Claudia's dog Lotta needs a lot of grooming - she loves to roll in leaves and muddy patches

Another wire-haired sausage dog catches my eye

We have a very interesting tour of the dome in Altenberg

a window and red wall catches my eye. thank you Claudia for a lovely few days.
