Day 3 - still ... a trip to Bonn all by myself

Rheinbach railway station - from here a 20 minute trip to Bonn

The geese fountain near the Muensterplatz

Good old Ludwig on Beethoven Platz with the stunning old  post office in the background

Not one to crack a smile easily, such was his life

My internet break at Starbucks

for Noah, look at the red grand piano in the shoe shop

Stern Strasse (Star Street), my favourite street

The fountain at the old city gates

Bertha von Suttner Platz

A busy day in the city, despite the 'heat' of 26 degrees, Germans are barely coping

Funny
The university, on the right
The city park, with  a view of the Poppelsdorfer Schloss at the far end.

Well of course Bonn is 1000 times prettier than Berlin!

my lunch - matjes roll. who wants to join me for raw pickled fish? yum. took the onion out though
Ludwig lives in Bonn, here someone has a statue peeping out  the window

Beethoven's birthplace - he lived in this house until he was 9

De Ring, koelsch for The Rhine, my beautiful big river

The university from the front - beautiful

When it's 'hot' Germans eat ice cream - these teenagers let me take their photo after they received their gelati share plate!

Schnuckster! Those guys sitting in thin air were also in Tenerife! We spent ages trying to work out how they did it... Had to give up in the end...
