Day trips to Capri and Nocelle

Beautiful Capri - it was so hot on that day, we barely took notice though.

carting luggage becomes a skill - many opting for the three wheeled porters

the ferry to Capri took us straight past Mount Vesuvius, and Mike Gina and Victor went to Pompeji on one day (whilst I lazed around, curing my croup.)

begin the day with an expresso (Mike quote) at the local breakfast bar

then up the hill about 700 metres on a hair raising bus ride. single lane traffic ... for two cars to pass each other one had to stop and manouvre to the side. Lots of frantic tooting before each corner.

what a glorious view , from Nocelle over  Positano

Piazza Santa Croce, from our sundeck we could hear the bell ring each night - high on top of the mountain

Lunch at Trattoria Santa Croce

All we got to drink is water, Victor is just putting up with it

we liked the fitting logo on our bus

back home at the International Bar, where after a couple of beers we walked down the hill to Maria Luisa.
