Venice, our last Italian destination

At 120 Euros a pop, many tourists 'cram' the gondolas to share the fee. I'd rather give it a miss!

The Rialto Bridge of course.

Meet Arturo, the Italian wirehaired dachshund who is our neighbour in Venice.

Water buses justling for a spot - even more so seeing the Venice Bienale is on - what a fabulous coincidence!

The youth hostel we stayed in with Julian and Noah - snapped from the water bus.

Freaky sculpture as part of the Bienale.

A Japanes couple making the most of their cameras - note body contortions

Piazza San Marco

I love the masks in Venice

Water bus ride number 4.2  to Guglie stop, near our apartment

Visiting Murano - Gina is ready to shop for glass, which this island of Venice is famous for.

I loved this glass art on Murano - the glass reflects Murano and Murano reflects in the glass, clever

waiting for the ride home, with our vase in tow - could not resist a souvenir

back at our front door, ready for a siesta because the days are still in the thirties

Gina took this photo of us, how nice!
