My birthday meal! Salmon, yum

Our breakfast table at the Heimly afforded us the first look of the worsening weather. |
It ended up being a day I won't forget in a while. Amazing scenery. First I thought it was such a shame that it was raining. Then when we got going, I thought it was magical with the rain lifting and the clouds lingering between the mountains around the fjord. As the photos will show I hope (still missing my good camera).

On the cruise ship we were impressed by the type of hats our fellow passengers appeared with - a moose and seal hat for authentic weather protection. |
|
We instead opted for the boring old Aussie Rainbird coat. |

Good-bye Flam! |

I spotted a dolphin!!! Did not know they liked the cold water. |

The bus trip from Gudvanger to Voss was a rainy trip past numerous waterfalls down very windy roads - Anja you would love it, Victor you'd need the Quells. |

That's the sort of face one would expect on a building in rainy Bergen. |

We ate Norwegain Meatballs with mushy, buttery peas (a traditional dish) for dinner. We rolled home. |

Toll Bilder von Norwegen. Da scheint es ja richtig kalt zu sein. Was für ein Kontrast nach dem Wetter in Deutschland und Italien.
Wie es aussieht habt ihr euren Koffer ja bestens ausgestattet.
